Fine Line Tattoos in Bristol

Every fine line tattoo on this page was drawn and tattooed by Eli Inking, a tattoo artist in Easton, Bristol. Fine line is one of the ways I work, alongside bolder blackwork, patchwork and folk-style pieces, and it's always my own drawings: sun faces, moons, dancing figures and odd little animals.

Fine line, my way

Lots of fine line artists will tattoo any design you bring them. I work a bit differently: everything I tattoo is drawn by me. You can choose from thousands of pre-drawn options on the artwork page, or ask for something new in my style.

My lines aren't always the thinnest. I like a line with a bit of character: a little wobble, some dotted shading, a spot of colour. It keeps the work feeling hand-drawn.

Sizes and placements

Fine line works beautifully small, on a wrist, an ankle or the back of an arm, but it suits big pieces too: a back, a thigh, a whole forearm. The finer the line, the more room it needs, so I'll suggest a size that keeps every detail clear as the tattoo settles over the years.

There's always time in your appointment to try different sizes and placements.

Getting tattooed in Bristol

I tattoo at Nice and Good Studio in Easton, Bristol. It's appointment only, so everything goes through the booking page rather than walking in. Plenty of people travel in from further afield, and I tour other cities through the year.

Make it your own

Every design is original, and I'm always happy to make one yours: a different animal, a word underneath, a spot of colour. If one of these is for you, book a tattoo.

FAQS

Are you a fine line tattoo artist?

Fine line is a big part of what I do, but not all of it. I also tattoo bold blackwork, patchwork pieces and folk-style designs, and often mix them. Whatever the style, it's always my own drawing.

Will you tattoo a fine line design I've found?

I only tattoo my own drawings. There are thousands of pre-drawn options on the artwork page, all available to tattoo, so it's worth a look first. If nothing's quite right, tell me your idea and I can draw something new in my style.

Does fine line last?

Yes, when it's done at the right size. Lines soften a little over the years, which is why I leave enough room between them for the design to stay clear. Looking after it while it heals matters too: my aftercare guide covers everything.

Is fine line a good first tattoo?

Yes, a small fine line piece is a lovely place to start. If you're nervous, have a read of my first tattoo advice, which covers what to expect on the day.

How much does a fine line tattoo cost?

Tattoos start at £130 and go up from there with size and detail, and I'm always happy to give a quote. A deposit (usually £55) secures your appointment.

Where are you based?

I tattoo at Nice and Good Studio, 8 St Gabriel's Business Park, Easton, Bristol BS5 0RT.

It's appointment only and I'm not there every day, so everything goes through the booking form rather than dropping in.
